Troy Gould was raised in Ada, Oklahoma and lived in many areas of the US, traveling throughout his early life, working on pipelines. Troy is an ordained minister registered by the state of Oklahoma and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Human Resources Counseling and then his Master of Science from East Central University.
Troy was suffering from alcoholism and addiction and, after losing his relationships, health and status he had reached his bottom when an intervention occurred by three wonderful men, two of whom are in recovery. This resulted in Troy entering treatment at Rob’s Ranch. Troy was client # 921 at the ranch and has been sober since January 4, 2017. He feels a great deal of gratitude and admiration for all the staff who were present during his stay, especially Pastor Steve and the counselors Brian, Mark, Dennis and most certainly Bruce Kaup, his individual counselor. Upon leaving the ranch Troy entered sober living at Path to Miracles (PTM) where he met Jeremy Gray, who also became an important part of Troy’s sobriety journey, where he continued learning how to live life without drugs and alcohol.
Troy has been greatly blessed by recovery, during which time he learned how to love and be loved by God and other people. He has had much in his life restored by the grace of God and wishes to give to others what was so freely given to him … the gift of recovery. Knowing that addiction is a progressive and fatal disease that not only impacts the afflicted but their families and others, Troy embraces and believes he has been led to exactly where he should be and doing what he not only feels he should do, but that which he truly desires to do: working at the ranch with good men from all walks of life who suffer from addiction. If you, like Troy, find yourself at Rob’s Ranch, you can expect miracles to happen in your life!
